Do you have a favorite water bottle? I know I do. While shopping at Zerbo’s (the health food store near me) I decided to buy a large bottle of water. I am a complete water fiend, I drink much more than the typical “8 glasses” a day. Have since I was in high school. I have been refilling that water bottle I bought for a couple months, but I decided today was a good day to get a new one. The water is Eternal, and it is very tasty water (even though I only buy one every few months).

I am currently pregnant as well, and when I first got pregnant, I fell off the vegan wagon. I had only been vegan for four months and some stressors in my life turned back to a regular ole non-vegan. Today I decided it’s time to go back to it, at 16 weeks. Got myself some Earth Balance, Tempeh, and my favorite Alfredo Style Sauce from Roads End. I usually make the whole packet and use it on two different pasta dishes.

Does your local Health Food Store do this? At Zerbo’s, they take large (or sometimes just expensive not necessarily large) items and break them down into smaller portions that are much more affordable for those of us who maybe don’t need hue bags of things I’ve never tried. This time I bought cacao nibs and powder for the first time along with maca. I am excited to try both of these things without having to spend an arm and a leg.

Got myself some rolled oats and cashew bits (cheaper than whole cashews, I don’t care if they are whole or not)

Finally, one of my greatest obsessions before I went vegan was pasta. Once I became vegan I started to become more sensitive to the way different foods made me feel. I realized that gluten-free was best for me. So, I have started to use more rice, but also rice noodles (for that pasta craving) and also some veggie spiral noodles that I have grown to love. I used my Roads End Alfredo Sauce on those noodles all the time, yum!

So, what are your staples when you go to the store?
This was only my trip to Zerbo’s. I buy all of my produce at a different store completely, and didn’t take pictures before putting it away. I will let you all in on my favorite fruits and veggies another day.
